Pre-Season

Pre-Season is the entry league of the Chaos League, intended primarily for new coaches and new teams. It makes it possible to play the first season, gain experience, and prepare the team for entering the main Chaos League.

Games are played according to the current Blood Bowl Third Season Edition rules and the valid Chaos League rules, unless stated otherwise below.

Organization

  • The league has a fixed schedule.
  • The minimum number of participants is 8 teams.
  • The Pre-Season has no play-offs. The winner is the team that finishes in the highest position after the regular season. In the event of a tie on points, the same tiebreakers as in the Chaos League are used.
  • For a team to be eligible to move to the Chaos League, the coach must complete the entire season without any forfeits.
  • After the end of the season, a redraft will take place according to the current rules.

Transition to the Chaos League

  • A team from the Pre-Season may enter the Chaos League directly in the following season or may be stored for a later season. A team can be stored in this way for a maximum of two years.
  • In the Pre-Season it is not allowed to play with the same race that the coach is currently using in the Chaos League. Likewise, it is not allowed to create another team of the same race as the coach’s stored team from a previous Pre-Season.
  • The coach must decide on participation in the Pre-Season before registration for the relevant Chaos League season opens.
  • If a change of Blood Bowl edition requires the conversion of existing teams, only teams from the most recently played Pre-Season can be converted.

Player Development

  • The purpose of the Pre-Season is the natural development of a team over the course of the played season and its possible preparation for entering the Chaos League. The Pre-Season is not intended for creating and repeatedly testing teams based on how advantageously their players develop.
  • For this reason, it is not allowed to gain advancements by random selection during the Pre-Season. All skills and other advancements must be chosen.
  • It is also not allowed to hoard earned SPP long-term with the intention of using them only after moving to the Chaos League. When moving, a player may keep only such an amount of unused SPP that is not enough to purchase their cheapest available advancement. All SPP above this limit are lost.

Entry Fee

  • The entry fee is 150 CZK and is used to cover the costs associated with running the league in TourPlay.
